What is a masterpiece? A masterpiece is a piece of great art or craft that is unique 
and original and has the power to overwhelm us. A masterpiece also withstands the 
test of time, makes it timeless, and inspires future generations to think big and 
transform the face of art or craft. It has the power to transform people’s perception 
of art and craft as well. Sometimes, the artist can create only a single masterpiece in 
a lifetime, and at other times, there can be more than one. Masterpieces are so 
special that they render gravity to the form of art and craft.
Raw materials for creating a masterpiece
Masterpieces can be created in any field and by any dedicated artist who rises to the 
occasion and above petty things. If it deals in artwork, the artist will require a blank 
canvas, brushes, colors, and a muse. If the individual is an architect, he/she can deal 
in brick and mortar and design the building with other materials. In embroidery, the 
craftsman will require a needle, glue, a design on an embroidery hook, and some 
colorful threads to complete a masterpiece. Sometimes, even gold can be strewn in 
exclusive dresses by designers who offer the best to their clients. In the case of a 
sculptor, his/her tools with clay or any other raw material will be required to create a 
masterpiece.
Creating a masterpiece is not a cakewalk. You must be a disciplined individual 
with unwavering attention. Working every day to achieve your goal is important 
to create a masterpiece. Look into the mirror every single day to self-motivate 
yourself and remind yourself of the passion you always had for this project or 
artwork. You cannot afford to get distracted during this phase of time. Having a 
single tunnel vision during this phase will propel you towards success. There are 
24 hours a day, and if you utilize it properly, you can create a masterpiece from 
raw materials.
Worry and excuses will only take you that far. You must realize that 
transforming huge amounts of raw materials into a masterpiece will take 
sustained effort. So, making excuses and procrastinating never helps. It will only 
delay your deadline and compel you to deliver a low-quality product. Do not 
think that with a stroke of luck, you will be able to create your masterpiece 
overnight. It will take persistence in the right direction. You have to develop 
expertise in the field while working and help you develop insight into how things 
function during this phase. Expect failures in the first attempt. Stop, breathe, and 
get back to doing it again, and you will succeed in your endeavors.
Prepare yourself and grow resilient because there will be things out of your 
control. Do not waste time on thinking about them, instead work on the things 
that are in your control, and the rest will fall in place. Have faith in your ability 
and move forge ahead.
