Conta inment  and process vessels w i th in  the chemica l  and indust r ia l  fac i l i t ies are of ten
repurposed f rom prev ious service l ives, wh ich  results in un ique  c i rcumstances i nc lud ing   
con tamina t ion / sa tu ra t ion  concerns. CCG has successfu l ly  l ined the in ter ior  of a concre te   
sump that  had been con tamina ted  w i th  methy lene ch lo r ide  (a pa in t  remover ) ,  wh ich  was
located in an in t r ins ica l ly  safe room, where no spark ing or open  e lect ron ics were a l lowed.
CCG duc ted  hot  air in to  the sump to temporar i l y  dry the concre te  and app l ied  ul t ra -  fast
cur ing,  chemica l  resistant coa t ing  system wh ich  cured in a few minutes.  The owner  had been  
s t rugg l ing  w i th  this issue for several months,  before CCG solved the p rob lem w i th in  a
week. Chemical  companies  also present  substant ia l  cor ros ion chal lenges due to var ious
chemica l  react ions,  temperatures,  and  pH swings. A recent  c l ien t  had a h igh -  temperature 
 reactor  that  was l ined w i th  glass. The glass was del icate,  easi ly damaged and requ i red
comple te  rep lacement  every 8 months  or so. CCG iden t i f ied  a super ior  po lymer  w i th  an
ant ic ipa ted  no -  main tenance service l i fe in excess of 5 years, and was far less cost ly  to instal l ,   
and cou ld  be easi ly repaired in -  situ.
