We are a family team who have years of knowledge and experience in dealing in fine
antique jewellery. Our journey into the world of antique jewellery began in December
2004 we opened our retail shop, Friar House, situated in the small historic town of
Battle.

1920's Diamond Panel Ring. Circa 1924. 18 carat
yellow gold and platinum set. Hallmarked 18. Set
with nine old cut diamonds. Total diamond content
measures approximately .30 carats. Diamonds H
Colour, VS Clarity. All diamonds are claw set within a
milligrain boarder. Pierced out gallery. Knife edge
shoulders lead to a plain band shank.
To the reverse the diamonds are set into open
backed settings, this allows the light to shine
through.
Head of the ring measures approximately 10mm
across.

The majority of our rings can be resized. Resizing will
be done at our expense and can take up to five
working days.
About Us
Welcome to Friar House. We specialise in antique engagement rings, antique
diamond rings and art deco jewellery. Selling to many traders all over the world, we
have been established within the Antique Jewellery trade for 25 years. In December
2004 we opened our retail shop, Friar House, situated in the small historic town of
Battle.
Battle played its part in the course of English History and it is where the famous
1066 Battle of Hastings took place. Not in the town of Hastings, but north in the
town of Battle. Situated at one end of the pretty High Street is Battle Abbey, Behind
the Abbey is the 1066 battlefield. It was here that the Normans defeated the Anglo-
Saxons and where the defeated King Harold fell. Probably the most well known
historical event in English History.
The Battle Field and Abbey were purchased for the nation in 1976 with a generous
gift from the USA. Today Battle Abbey is a private school, the grounds and buildings
belong to English Heritage and are now a tourist attraction which can be visited all
year round.
Friar House itself is a 17th century house dating from 1642. In its past the house has
been a bakers and a museum. With its characteristic features of panelled walls,
inglenook fireplaces and beams the house lends itself to its current use as an

Our opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday 10.15 a.m. to 5.00

ONLINE PURCHASES
We offer a 14 day returns policy. We ask customers that when they
receive the ring or piece of jewellery and feel it is not suitable, to
contact us within 24 hours of receipt. The ring should not be worn as it
would need to be returned to us in the same condition as despatched,
and a full refund would be given.
Please note that we will not be liable for any import taxes or duties that
may be applied, when returning items back to us from overseas.
