RCN Email Login 

• The default user preferences will be configured 
automatically when you create an account. These 
settings will let you know how the email address book, 
mailbox, and calendar apps work. If you want, you can 
set an email identity and POP accounts.

General

• To set the web client login as a default client type login, click on ‘Advanced’.
• You will be able to access all features from advanced.
• For normal or slow internet connections, we recommend you to use Standards.
• From theme option, you can change the ‘Color’ of your mailbox interface.
• If the time zone selected is correct, then click to select it as a default time zone. 

You can set the appointments on calendar according to this day and time. 
• In search settings, you can include junk and trash folders, otherwise, these are 

not included by default.

Mail

• You can select a number of items to display on a single page. By default, it 
is set to 25.

• Tap to group the mail either via conversation or via message. By default, it 
is conversation type.

• Refresh interval. This is the time period after which your computer scans 
for any new mail. This can be 5-10-15 mins.

• Mention the type of view for mail. Either HTML or plain text. If you turn off 
HTML, it will automatically switch to plain text.

Message Options

• You can change the reading pane settings from message options.
• If enabled, the client will send the snippets in the email list when you 

hover the cursor to the subject of that message.
• Double click on the message will open the message.
• You can enable or disable the images to be downloaded automatically in 

HTML model. You no longer require to open the image.
• Enable or disable the notifications related to the receiving of new mail.
• Enter the address to forward the mail to it. This will delete the original ID 

from the mailbox.

Composing

• You can set the text editor of your choice. Either plain or HTML.
• Set font settings of your choice when you use HTML editor. You can 

even change the font size, style, color, and theme.
• Always compose in a new window. A new window will open when you 

compose any new mail from the RCN mail box.
