Challenge
Modern companies like Thunder 
Gaming focus on creating a 
comfortable and motivating work 
environment for employees. However, 
despite their best efforts, sometimes 
guardrails are needed. The 
management of Thunder Gaming found 
that some employees were trying to 
manipulate their timesheets. They 
knew that time stealing not only 
affects payroll efficiency, but also 
demotivates other employees who are 
honest and productive.  So, Thunder 
Gaming tried fingerprint biometrics to 
hold employees accountable but the 
effort failed. That’s when they started 
their search for an alternative solution.
Solution
After exploring their options, Thunder 
Gaming chose RightPunch - an 
affordable, simplified, and touchless 
time capture solution for UKG (formerly 
Kronos). Thunder Gaming decided to 
use the face matching configuration, 
which automatically identifies 
employees when they take their 
picture. This biometric solution 
completely eradicated “employee time 
stealing”  issue. 
The RightPunch app also runs on 
standard, off-the-shelf tablets and 
smartphones, eliminating the need and 
additional expense of proprietary 
hardware.
