MECO Power Line Transducers: What 
They Are & Core Product Range
• What is a Power Line Transducer? A Power Line Transducer converts live electrical parameters - current, 
voltage, power, frequency, or power factor into a standardized DC output signal (4-20 mA or 0-10 V) that 
feeds directly into PLCs, SCADA systems, data loggers, controllers, and recorders for real-time 
monitoring, automation, and energy management.
• AC Current Transducer - Model CMT / CMT-TRMS Measures AC current and converts it to a load-
independent, galvanic ally isolated DC output. Accepts direct inputs of 0-1A and 0-5A, or via CT ratio 
(CTR/1A & CTR/5A). The TRMS variant accurately handles non-sinusoidal, distorted waveforms critical in 
VFD-driven and industrial environments. Accuracy: ±0.5% of span.
• AC Voltage Transducer - Model VMT / VMT-TRMS Converts single-phase or three-phase AC voltage into a 
precise DC analog signal. Supports wide input voltage ranges and delivers multiple isolated DC output 
options - ideal for continuous voltage monitoring in power distribution panels, substations, and energy 
management systems.
•  Frequency Transducer - Model FTA ccurately measures and transmits AC supply frequency as a 
proportional DC analog output. Used in grid synchronization, generator protection, and power quality 
monitoring where frequency deviation can signal equipment stress or supply instability.

• Active Power (Watt) & Reactive Power (VAr) Transducers - Model WT / RPT Measures active and reactive 
power across 1-phase, 3-phase 3-wire, and 3-phase 4-wire systems both balanced and unbalanced. Supports 
bi-directional import/export power measurement, making it the go-to solution for grid-tie energy metering, 
power utilities, and renewable energy integration.
• Power Factor Transducer (PFT) & DC Isolation Transducer (DTI)The PFT converts power factor (0 Lag to 1 to 0 
Lead) into a DC signal - essential for automatic power factor correction (APFC) systems. The DTI provides 
complete galvanic isolation between DC input and DC output, protecting sensitive control circuits in battery 
systems, solar installations, and DC drive applications.
• TAP Position Transducer - Model TPT Converts transformer tap position into a standardized DC analog signal, 
enabling remote tap-change monitoring in power transformers - critical for substation automation, grid voltage 
regulation, and transformer protection systems under SCADA control.
