According to the Central Motor Vehicle Rules,
private vehicles are to be re-registered at the
end of 15 years and continue after 5 years.
• Form 25 has to be filled up
• Registration Certificate in original form
must be collected
• The Pollution Certificate is also important

be provided
• Following which, the Vehicle must be
showcased before the registering authority for
inspection.
• Pay the Re-registration Fee at the cash
counter and collect the receipt.
• Now the New Registration Certificate is
issued by the department.

Which documents you have to submit
for Re-registration of your vehicle?
1. Basically, without NOC (No Objection Certificate) none will
start within 45 minutes.
2. This NOC is to be filled in form CMV28 or if you have an
acknowledgment copy shared through the postal service. If you
have the already got the not, just submit it.
3. Registration certificate (RC Book).
4. Tax Card.
5. Insurance certificate.
6. Consent of the Financier (if applicable).
7. Pollution Under Control Certificate.
8. Fitness Certificate and permit in case of transport vehicles.
9. Prescribed fees and difference of tax if any.
10. Three passport size photographs of the applicant.
11. The vehicle shall be produced for inspection on the premises
of the R.T.O. If it was not inspected earlier.

the postal acknowledgment. A declaration must be given as
“the application for NOC has neither been rejected nor any
reply received from the previous registering authority” for
