right-clicking the QBW.adr file to select the Rename option.
4. Delete the .adr present at the end of the file, followed by opening

5. Use your account register to verify all transactions are there and run the 
QuickBooks Verify Data Utility from the Utilities tab of the File menu to 
ensure the integrity of this company file.
