Types of Asphalt Batch Mix Plant 
Different types and capacities of asphalt plants can be used to build roads, 
according to the rules of each state. Contractors seek the correct capacity of 
the plant according to tender. If the tender was for less than 22.5 crores, 
then "DRUMMIX PLANT" and if it is more than 2.5crores, then

Mobile plant is preferred if there are more than one or more projects at the 
same site. Stationary plants can be used if there is only one project.

Asphalt Batch Mix Plant with Storage Silo 
Storage silos can be used to store hot mix aggregates for final dispatch. 
Sometimes, it is difficult for loading trucks to get to the plant site on time 
due to difficulties. The insulated silo at the base pug mill mixture can be 
used to store hot aggregate mixture. It will keep the heat in the silo for a 
short time as insulation prevents heat loss and facilitates the uniform 
spreading of aggregate to create smooth roads. 
 
Asphalt Batch Mix Plant with RAP System 
Here, "RAP" stands for Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement System. To construct 
a road properly, it must be leveled by removing any uneven layers. The 
asphalt batch mix plant with RAP process produces the final material. It is 
then mixed with hot bitumen to make hot aggregate for road construction. 
The federal highway agency supports the use recycled material in pavement 
construction to reduce pollution and protect nature. About 50% of the 
aggregate will be made by recycling the pavement aggregate that was 
broken down from an old tear or uneven road.
