Shock sensor or impact monitor is a shock overload device that indicates whether a shock or impact has occurred and triggers the alarm. Shock sensors are primarily deployed in the automotive sector to detect impact of enforced entry on body of vehicles as they are easily-installable, user-friendly, do not need external power, and offers efficient response at mid-range of higher frequencies. These sensors are used in smart homes where alarm is triggered by any forced entry or slight tap and the alarm output can be monitored by smartphone or laptop.
