July: Google acquires North
• Google announced the acquisition of North in the end June, 
for an undisclosed amount.
• The acquisition was made official in July with focus on smart 
glasses.

6 July: Uber to acquire Postmates
• Uber agreed to acquire food delivery business Postmates in 
July, in a $2.65 billion all-stock takeover. 
• The deal will bring together two of the biggest food delivery 
companies in the US and will bolster Uber's own Eats brand.

July: Amazon to acquire Zoox
• Amazon has announced the acquisition with Zoox, a self-
driving vehicle startup, for a estimated $1.2 billion.

8 July: SUSE acquires Rancher
• The enterprise Linux specialist SUSE is doubling down on 
Kubernetes with the July acquisition of Rancher.
• The acquisition was made with an undisclosed amount.

July: Mastercard to acquire Fincity
• Mastercard  announced the acquisition with Fincity for $825 
million in early July.
• Finicity's existing shareholders will increase up to $160 million 
on top of the sale price, taking the total value of the deal to 
$985 million.

13 July: HPE picks up Silver Peak
• Hewlett Packard Enterprise made a commitment to the SD-
WAN  market in July.
•  Silver Peak specialises in WAN technology and will join HPE's 
networking brand Aruba.

July: Microsoft acquires CyberX
• Microsoft declared the acquisition with Israeli IoT security 
specialists CyberX for an undisclosed amount in July 2020.
• There will be an integration of CyberX technologies and 
expertise into its Azure cloud platform.

22 July: GSK Acquisition WITH HUL
• The merger of GSK consumer healthcare in April 2020 has 
brought good time for HUL.
• Nearly 80 per cent of the company’s portfolio themed on 
health, hygiene and nutrition has grown by 6 per cent .

July: Microsoft acquires Softomotive
• Microsoft declared the acquisition with UK-based robotic 
process automation software provider Softomotive of an 
undisclosed amount in July  2020.

July: CISCO acquires Thousand Eyes
• CISCO declared to purchase an undisclosed amount for 
network intelligence specialist ThousandEyes in May. 
• This deal was made official in early July focusing on cloud 
based analytics.
