Radha Krishna is the epitome and symbol of pure love and selfless 
affection. Radha Krishna’s names are always taken together, and they 
are each other’s soulmates. Radha Krishna is worshipped all over 
India and in foreign countries. Radha Krishna marble moorti is

question as to why Rukmini is never worshipped alongside Lord

1) Curse-

Hrishi cursed Rukmini for some reason. The curse was that she could 
not live with Lord Krishna for many years. The curse was quite true 
as she could not live with him for almost twelve years. Lord Vishnu 
took away the curse after twelve years, but until then, they lived 
apart for many years. Many researchers and experts explain that this 
might be why Rukmini is never placed beside Lord Krishna in many 
temples, and Radha ji is worshipped.
2) Image of Goddess Laxmi-
Rukmini is considered the image of the goddess Laxmi, and it is also 
said that she was not an ordinary human being. She was the avatar of 
the goddess, which made her presence just like her. It is always said 
that the relationship of both lovers should always be equal to get 
proper validation. As Rukmini was considered the image of goddess 
Laxmi, her presence in the temples was never associated with Lord 
Krishna. Every temple in India has a statue of Radha and Krishna. 
Rukmini Krishna temples are rarely found, which might be why.
3) Stories and Ancient History-
The ancient sages and experts have always taken the names of Radha 
and Krishna together whenever they wanted to give examples of true 
love. Radha Krishna’s stories have been told to every generation 
since the beginning of the ancient period. Hence, the image of Radha 
and  Krishna  has  always  been  at  the  forefront  of  every  India. 
Surprisingly, many people in India don’t even know that Rukimini
was  Lord  Krishna’s  real  wife.  All  these  stories,  ancient  sage 
information, and explanations of all the incidents between Radha and 
Krishna have created a mindset that only Radha Krishna marble 
moorti should be made to be placed in homes as well as temples. 
People always believe in the power of love, and Radha Krishna has 
always been the epitome of true love and selflessness. Their passion

4) True Lover-
Rukmini was always considered to be the silent yet strong support of 
Lord Krishna as she was also the incarnation of goddess Laxmi. All of 
this was the universe’s plan, while Radha, on the other hand, was 
always a lover and devotee and spent her entire life loving Lord 
Krishna. Her selfless and pure love without any expectations made 
her image as one of the greatest lovers in the world. To celebrate her 
true love and selfless deeds, every marble temple for home/any 
places Radha beside Krishna. Even all the Iskon temples have the 
statues of Radha Krishna together. But some temples also have a 
statue of Rukmini and Krishna.
The  above-mentioned  are  reasons  why  Lord  Krishna  and  not 
Rukmini worship Radha Ji. There are many theories and stories 
behind this, and everyone’s perspective might also differ. The answer 
comes down to the belief and faith of every person, which are held in 
our gods. It is up to us who and how we should worship them.
