At this time of year in the UK we are still in the trophy / 
awards season where the acting profession has a 
series of different awards ceremonies such as the 
BAFTAs, the Oscars, the Palme D’Or, and many others. 
There are also prizes such as the Pulitzer Prize for 
journalism, the Brits and the Grammys for music, and 
several more.
In addition, there are many more prizes for achievements in a wide range of different 
industries which are not so well-known internationally, but which are very important 
within those individual sectors.
On top of that, there are also many companies, both large and small, that like to honour 
their employees with an award. It’s good for the business and it helps to encourage your 
team to do their absolute best at all times. So, for example, you could present awards to 
your top-performing employees at your AGM.
Silver and gold cups are well-known, but lots of awards today are made from crystal 
glass. For instance, at the Eurovision Song Contest held a few days ago, the award was 
of crystal glass, andwas won by Swiss singer Nemo. Unfortunately, the singer got rather 
carried away and knelt on the floor smashing the trophy on it in his excitement. Sadly, 
the stem broke in two, but he didn’t even seem to notice it. Certainly, crystal glass is 
tougher than ordinary glass, but it’s still glass! Even if the trophy had been silver, he 
would have put a big dent in it!

crystal glass trophies which stand out from the crowd. When you choose crystal

Most crystal glass trophies are engravable too. So, for instance, you might
