 A Client Required 
Standby Letter of Credit
A Client from Nigeria decided to 
import Gas Oil from Russia using 
Standby Letter of Credit. 
Since they didn’t had enough cash 
funds to provide as 100%  margin 
money, their bank declined their 
SBLC request. And so, the buyer 
contacted us with their SBLC 
request. 
  How We Structured 
their Gas Oil Deal?
Once we received the SBLC request from 
the client, our team analyzed and approved 
their request. 
We asked the client to pay the service 
charges and to sign the service agreement 
to start structuring their oil deal. 
After the payment of charges, we started 
structuring their gas oil deal by blocking 
our bank limit to provide the SBLC on 
behalf of our client’s company. 
  Successful SBLC 
Issuance
We structured the SBLC draft as per the  
gas oil deal and sent the SBLC draft for the 
client’s approval & also, informed them to 
pay the SBLC issuance fee. 
After the receipt of issuance fee charges & 
SBLC draft approval, we instructed our 
bank to issue the required SBLC from our 
bank account on behalf of the buyer and in 
favor of the Russian supplier. 
Deal Concluded 
Successfully!!!
With the issued SBLC, the Gas Oil Deal 
between the Nigerian Buyer and the Russian 
Supplier concluded Successfully!
