Road Signs
When most of us think of road signs, we consider them as yet another marking. Yet, the
usefulness of road traffic signs is often underrated. Without road markings, there would be
disorder on our roads, such as drivers getting lost on the road to their destination, drivers
getting fines for not following the regulations or even as severe as an accident.

It is essential to remember that road signs are not just decisive to drivers but to everyone
who is using roads, that includes cyclists and pedestrians. Here we are providing a guide
to understanding the importance of road signs and different types of signs and lines.
Warning signs
Warning road signs are important for pointing out potential risks, hindrances or a change in
road conditions to drivers. They alert drivers that there is a likely risk to be aware of, even if
the driver can’t see it directly. As some risks are holed up or in a blind spot in the road, the
warning road signs extend the driver a “heads-up” that it is coming and favour them to
adjust accordingly.
Universal Road Signs
The exact design elements of a road sign are no accident. Signs and lines depend so much on
figures or pictures to pass on a message, this favours people around the world to figure out what
message the signs are trying to convey without certainly speaking the language. Not only do the
signs have a serious impact on a road sign’s directness, but so do the colours. Red is globally
known as stop, whereas yellow mostly indicates being cautious or attentive.
Road Signs to Avoid Accidents
The most noteworthy impact road markings have is that they prevent road users from
accidents and injuries. Road signs help reduce the risk and chance of accidents happening
by clearly conveying important information to road users, such as the speed limit, a stop
sign, changes in road conditions and alerting people about potential hazards.
