O Shelled skin on kernels is air dried to loosen 
the testa to enable peeling of the skin and 
helps l minimize broken % generation in the 
peeling process. Cashew Nut Dryer also 
removes tanning and reduces humidity 
content inside the kernel.

O Shelled skin on kernels are to be heat treated in an 
oven, say at 70 to 80 C for 8 to 10 hours to loosen 
the skin/testa covering the kernel for ease of peeling.
O The borma / dryer consists of a trolley to hold 25 
trays; each tray can hold about 5 kg of Cashew 
kernel.
O Borma / Dryers are available in 250 / 500 / 1000 
& 2000 kg nominal capacity.
O The temperature of the borma / dryer can be 
controlled by Digital Temperature and Timer control 
for accurate heating and temperature and time 
control.
O Borma / Dryer can be heated by electrical power, 
wood firing, LPG heating or steam heating.
