Days of Leave Required to Recover from Lasik
Days of Leave Required to Recover from Lasik?
Lasik recovery time is pretty similar for most people. Many patients comment about having better vision before they
even leave the office. Typically, people see a lot better after going home to rest for about 24 hours after their
treatment.
What to expect during your Lasik
recovery time
Lasik healing time differs for everyone during the first week following their procedure. For example, some people find they
can see much better after a long nap. Others might see more clearly the day after Lasik when they go for their first eye
exam. Most people take off work on Thursday to have the treatment. They come back for a visit on Friday. By the time
Monday rolls around, people are ready to return to work.
While full Lasik healing time takes about three to six months for your eyes to stop changing, the initial recovery is only a
couple of days. The main thing is to give your eyes a break from computer screens and reading to reduce eyestrain.
At Columbus Lasik Vision, we want you to stay safe after your Lasik treatment. We suggest getting someone to drive you to
your appointment and for your first eye exam. Our team will give you specific instructions about driving, going back to
work, exercise, makeup, and recreational water use, so you understand what to expect following Lasik.
