Pendant cables are waterproof, oil- and sunlight-resistant, and come with a 
yellow jacket.  Cable is offered with or without an internal strain relief, an 
exterior strain relief, or no steel strain relief at all.  It is also possible to 
install the steel strain relief cable individually.

Pendant hoist cables are used in control applications, 
whereby push-button controllers transfer signals to 
gantries and overhead cranes.
Resilience and Flexibility
Because they combine resilience and flexibility over a 
wide temperature range, pendant cables with two 
external strainer wires, PVC insulation with copper 
conductors, and a temperature rating of -15 to +60C 
are utilised in overhead crane feeder applications.
❖ Purpose of Pendant Cables
The purpose of pendant cables is to supply control signals 
to pendants suspended from hoists, overhead cranes, and 
a variety of other lifting and handling apparatuses. 
These cables need to be strong enough to hold the weight 
of the control pendant that is connected, withstand 
continuous movement while in operation, and make sure 
that the cable cores are not under any strain. 
The most often used product we carry is the pendant, 
which has two steel support wires moulded into the outer 
sheath in addition to a PVC sheath.
