need:

• An Excel spreadsheet with your estimates recorded in columns

• If you need to import estimates into QuickBooks Online from Excel, 
there are a few things you need to know. The first is that QuickBooks 
only imports data in column format. This means that all of your data 
needs to be in one column, and it needs to be in the same order as it 
is in Excel.
• Next, you need to decide which versions of QuickBooks you want to 
use. If you’re using QuickBooks 2019 or later, then you can use the 
built-in estimating feature. If you’re using QuickBooks 2017 or 
earlier, then you’ll need to use the import feature from Excel.
• Once you have your estimates imported, they’ll need to be 
reconciled with your actual invoices. This can be done automatically 
if you have automated invoicing enabled in QuickBooks, or you can 
do it manually if needed.
