the QB balance sheet failed to match the bank statement or 
payments were recorded incorrectly, the wrong date, a 
transaction was not properly checked off or entered 
incorrect bank statement, etc. Fortunately, there is a simple 
method available to undo reconciliation in QuickBooks

• Firstly open the QuickBooks online
• Locate the Gear icon and hit on the option
• Next below the company column choose the Chart of Accounts tab
• Find a suitable account for the transaction
• Hit View Register in the Action column
• Search for the desired transaction you need to edit
• In case you view column name named Reconcile status
• On the transaction front you need to give a click repeatedly to modify its status:
• If you view C it states Cleared
• If you see R it determines Reconciled
• In case you view Bank that means not cleared/not reconciled
• Now you need to stop on the status bank. It determines you need undo reconciliation
• Hit Save option
• You need to do the same procedure for all the transactions that you need to undo 
reconciliation
• At last close the register
