                     How is Relish different than traditional speed dating?
Relish offers a low-key alternative unlike 
traditional speed dating offerings. We take a 'less 
is more' approach that we feel allows for a more 
comfortable evening. There isn't anything 
romantic about loud microphones, over-the-top 
trimmings, whistles and name-tags - so we 
simply don't use them.  The fact you’re reading 
about us, likely means they’re just like you. 
Daters that don’t like to settle and tend to set the 
trend rather than follow it. We are in part 
defined by our venues and our crowd reflects.
Published start times can be found in the event description. Please try to avoid doing anything 
unsafe in your attempt to arrive to the event on time - we do like to wait for all participants to 
arrive. This may cause an event to start late but we feel a perfect opportunity to chat up the 
hosts, have a lovely refreshment and settle in. Chat up your prospective 'Date-Mates' 5 - 6 
minutes at a time. Sometimes, for our larger events, this may be shortened by 1 or 2 minutes 
to accommodate all of the mini-dates in a timely fashion. Don’t worry. In today’s world we 
tend to know in a matter of minutes if we ‘click’ with someone. You can also chat further with 
your prospective ‘Date-Mate’ at intermission or mingle after the event. Just have fun and go 
with it!
HOW IT WORKS IN-PERSON SPEED DATING
We think the best relationships are forged when 
we are comfortable, relaxed and free of pressure. 
Preferring instead to think of the evening as a 
casual night out where one can truly be 
themselves. We do not use traditional 'speed 
dating' offerings such as bells, whistles and 
name-tags. Instead we focus on creating an 
atmosphere conducive to meeting others; a great 
venue, a personable host and a staff to assist. 
Upon arriving at your chosen event - locate your 
event host. Your host will assist in setting you up 
with your scorecard for the evening. A simple and 
convenient way to keep track of whom you 
enjoyed meeting and those that you would like to 
see again. Should you have any questions - feel 
free to ask away. Take the time before the event 
starts to settle in - have a beverage if you would 
like and mingle should you wish. The speed 
dating portion of the event begins once all daters 
have arrived,
