Dr. Joseph Markowitz earned a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, then attended the University of Medicine and New Jersey’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He continued his psychiatry training by completing a psychiatry residency at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, followed by an addiction psychiatry fellowship from the University of South Florida School of Medicine.
