The process of lithium-ion batteries recycling is gaining more significance because the amount of electric vehicles, smartphones, and energy-storage systems, which require their cyclic use, is rising. Nowadays, millions of batteries cease to work annually and unless lithium-ion batteries are properly recycled, valuable resources may be wasted and dangerous waste may be deposited in landfills. Recycling of lithium-ion batteries starts by the collection and safe transportation of used batteries. When they arrive at a recycling plant, it is sorted, discharged and dismantled.
