As per the guidelines issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under the Compulsory Registration Scheme (CRS), it is mandatory for manufacturers and importers to obtain BIS Registration for Plasma, LCD, and LED televisions with a screen size of 32 inches and above before selling, importing, or distributing these products in the Indian market.
