We started FARMSFRIEND to prove that managing farms could actually be simple. We recognized that fixing farmers requires actually building a better farmers Portal.

Corn (Maize) Cultivation
Maize is the basic raw material required for manufacturing starch
and constitutes 60-70 per cent of the total operating costs. Maize
has 60-65 per cent starch content, hence cannot be easily
substituted by other commodities.
Peas(Matar) Cultivation
The pea is most commonly the small spherical seed or the seed-pod of the pod fruit
Pisumsativum. Each pod contains several peas, which can be green or yellow. Pea pods are
botanically fruit,[2] since they contain seeds and develop from the ovary of a (pea) flower. The
name is also used to describe other edible seeds from the Fabaceae such as the pigeon pea
(Cajanuscajan), the cowpea (Vignaunguiculata), and the seeds from several species of Lathyrus.
Wheat Cultivation
Wheat is a grass widely cultivated for its seed, a cereal grain which is a worldwide staple food. There
are many species of wheat which together make up the genus Triticum; the most widely grown is
common wheat (T. aestivum).
The archaeological record suggests that wheat was first cultivated in the regions of the Fertile
Crescent around 9600 BCE. Botanically, the wheat kernel is a type of fruit called a caryopsis.
Paddy (Rice)
Cultivation
Rice is the seed of the grass species Oryza sativa (Asian rice) or Oryzaglaberrima (African
rice). As a cereal grain, it is the most widely consumed staple food for a large part of the
world’s human population, especially in Asia. It is the agricultural commodity with the
third-highest worldwide production (rice, 741.5 million tonnes in 2014)
Black Gram
Cultivation
Black gram is a type of bean grown in the Indian subcontinent, which has a
surprising number of health benefits, including its ability to boost energy, protect
cardiovascular health, reduce pain and inflammation, improve immunity, aid in
maintaining skin health, prevent diabetes, build strong bones, strengthen the
nervous system, and optimize digestion.
