Glennis Perez holds her B.A. in 
elementary education from William 
Paterson University. In 2007, she 
received her M.Ed in educational 
leadership and instruction at the 
University of South Florida, Tampa. 
Glennis is a Mathematics Lead at the 
Village of Excellence Academy in 
Tampa, where she oversees the 
ongoing professional development for 
math content standards and 
pedagogy.

Glennis Perez has worked in the classroom and in administration 
roles, including her time as principal for Hillsborough County Public 
Schools in Tampa, Florida. Glennis has won a number of awards 
including the Principal’s Leadership Award for the 2004-2005 
school year.
Lives In Florida
Glennis Perez has been an educator for over twenty years and is dedicated to raising 
the bar in schools and closing the gaps in student achievement. She seeks to motivate 
teachers as well as students on the path toward systemic change. Glennis has taught 
in New Jersey and in Florida.
