1. Distance
 The final cost of moving depends upon the Distance. In the case of 
intercity or domestic household shifting, the moving cost depends on 
the distance to be traveled between the two locations. The cost of 
relocation depends on the basis of distance.
2. Quantity of Belongings
 The total number of items is a huge factor for calculating the moving 
cost. The quantity and weight of the items will be considered while 
calculating the packers and movers charges or cost of home shifting in

loading, packing, transporting, and finally unloading at the destination.
3. Cost of packing materials
 When more packing material used then you will have to pay more 
packing charges. The packing materials like cartons, tapes, bubble

4. Manpower
 As per the size of your house, you will require the men to complete a

6. Insurance
 An optional service is provided by packers and movers company i-e 
Insurance, It is better options for the customer, in case of long-distance 
moving to ensure the safety of your goods. This will allow you to 
demand compensation in case your goods get damaged. The insurance 
is 3% of the total declared value of your goods.
7. Physical Activity
 The packers movers cost also depends upon the physical efforts 
employed by the manpower while packing and loading the goods in the 
transport vehicle, When more the physical activities take, the more you 
will have to pay packers and movers charges.
8. Transportation vehicle
For moving purposes, there are two types of vehicles used by the 
domestic packers and movers in India.
Shared truck: This type of vehicle will be used by more than one 
customer of the moving company. The price charged by the packers and 
movers for such type of vehicle will be much less because the cost of 
transportation will be divided among their customers.
Dedicated truck: This type of transportation vehicle is much more 
expensive than the shared ones as it is a dedicated truck used for your 
home relocation process. But you will get the quick delivery of your 
household belongings as the price you have to pay a high price for this.
But yes, a smaller vehicle is much cheaper than the bigger one. So, it 
depends upon the number of and size of the items that need to be 
relocated, so we will suggest you choose your one as per your 
requirements.
9. Total Time of shifting
 If you want to relocate on weekends, then the cost may be higher as 
compared to the weekdays due to the high demand for packers and 
movers services on Saturday and Sunday. So This Factor also affects 
your total moving cost. If you like to choose the faster relocation of your 
household belongings without complying with the rules for the entry 
commercial vehicle in another state, then the total moving cost will also 
be included with the amount of challan paid by the moving company.
10. Taxes and all that
The moving cost will vary on the basis of the following taxes

11. Experience of a company
 IBA Verified and the company with more years of experience will 
charge you more as compared to the new ones. The total year of 
experience will explain their expertise in their job perfection and the 
tag of a trusted company. So, if you hire an experienced and popular 
moving company with a good year of experience then you might have to 
pay more as compared to going for the smaller ones.
12. Tip
This is a personal choice and will not be included in the 
final invoice issued by the packers and movers. 
13. Additional services
 The services include related to installation and uninstalling of AC, 
mounting of television on the wall, geyser installation, unpacking, 
disassembly, assembly, arrangement of items in the new home, etc. If 
you need these services as well then they will charge extra for that.
