cards. Weddings are exciting in all cultures across the world. From deciding the venue to finalizing the

You should plan your wedding invitation in advance. This is a sure-fire way to ensure that all of your guests 
can block their calendars for your special day. But, is there a perfect time to send wedding invites? Yes!
When to send wedding invitations?
A wedding invitation suite includes the main invitation 
card, a response card (RSVP), and other enclosure cards 
(reception card, attire card, travel and accommodations 
card, wedding website card, etc.)
As a rule of thumb, send your wedding invites six to 
eight weeks before your big day. A wedding invitation 
should be sent to everyone on the guest list.
The deadline for the RSVP card should be one month 
before the wedding. This will give you ample time to

them a call.
What about international guests?
If your guest list includes some overseas guests as well, you can send their cards along with the ones decided for

 If your family lives abroad, you would like to invite them a bit 
before other guests. This will help them to plan their leaves and

least 12 weeks before.

them to avoid any last-minute troubles.

website too. Your guests, as well as close acquaintances, can 
check all the information on your website. It will save your 
time from attending phone calls.
What to include on the wedding invitations?
You can include the full web address of your 
wedding website on the save-the-date cards. 
Hence, don’t include this information on your 
wedding card. You should mention the 
schedule of different wedding functions along 
with venue details and contact person. Avoid 
including the wedding registry information. It 
can be shown on the wedding website.
Your wedding card can also include dress 
code information if any. Try putting this 
information on the lower left or right corner. 
You don’t want to make it a center of 
attraction while ensuring that people still see 
it. 
Some other things to consider:
 If you plan to use a calligrapher to address your envelope, make sure you get in touch with him on time. 
The best would be if you contact him as soon as you decide your invitation printing schedule.
 If you have to deliver the envelope out of the city, then take a few days to seal the stationery. You don’t 
plan to take your invitations directly to the local post office.
