How to maintain personal Hygiene in our Daily life
In our day-to-day lives, hygiene is very important. Health education on personal hygiene
emphasizes proper bathing, oral hygiene, and covering coughs and sneezes to stay healthy and
protect others, as well as regular cleaning of hands, body, and teeth with soap and water to
remove bacteria and prevent illness. To stop the spread of germs and infections, important
hygiene practices include washing one's hands frequently, taking a shower every day, brushing
one's teeth every day, and dressing in clean clothes. Body Hygiene
Daily bathing: Shower or bathe daily to remove sweat, dirt, and bacteria from the skin.
Clean clothes: Wear clean, fresh clothes daily to prevent the buildup of germs.
Handwashing
Wash thoroughly: Use soap and water to scrub all parts of your hands for at least 20 seconds.
When to wash: Always wash your hands before eating or preparing food, after using the toilet,
and after coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose.
Oral Hygiene
Brush your teeth: You should brush your teeth at least twice a day to avoid gum disease and
cavities. Floss regularly: Incorporate daily flossing into your routine.
Hygiene of the Airways Cover coughs and sneezes: Use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose
when coughing or sneezing to prevent spreading germs.
Use a bin: Dispose of used tissues in a bin to prevent germ spread.
Other Essential Methods of Hygiene Nail hygiene: Keep your nails trimmed and clean to
prevent dirt and germs from accumulating underneath.
Clean water and food: Drink filtered or boiled water and ensure food is cooked in clean utensils
to avoid infections.
Hair care: Wash and groom your hair regularly to maintain a healthy scalp and prevent issues
like dandruff.
