 Nitrogen gas is being used much 
more than we think. 
 Including food processing to 
electronics to mining, nitrogen gas is 
often used each and every day in 
several activities. 
 And all these sectors mostly 
depended on the nitrogen gas 
supplied in tanks, and that can be a 
challenge conceptually, which can 
also be costly.
Applications of Nitrogen 
Gas
 Nitrogen gas is often used in limited 
quantities to fill certain varieties of 
bulbs, In incandescent lights as an 
affordable alternative for argon, 
which is used to hold toxic and 
combustible petroleum liquified 
products because nitrogen gas is an 
active component.
Food industry
 Nitrogen gas further creates a non - 
reactive environment. 
 This is used to store food. As a changed 
environment, original or combined with 
carbon dioxide, nitrogenated and 
maintains the crispness of processed or 
retail foods (by preventing oxidation and 
other reactive oxygen types such as 
transforming colors). High purity nitrogen 
as a food preservative is called E941. 
Industry of light bulbs
 Bulbs should never be filled with gas as 
heated tungsten metal burns oxygen. You 
could not retain vacuum, or the exterior 
air pressure may crack the glass. So, non 
reactive gases such nitrogen must fill 
these.
 Rather than nitrogen, we should use inert 
gases including argon gas or helium, 
and they're much more costly & harder to 
obtain than nitrogen.
Fire-fighting devices
 Fire prevention is done by reducing 
the oxygen content where the fire 
burns up whereas sustaining for a 
limited time period at a suitable level 
to exposure in humans.
steel processing
 There are numerous instances of 
adding nitrogen to steel while 
steelmaking like the melting, ladle 
handling, and casting activities. 
Nitrogen affects hardness, 
dimensional stability, strain 
degradation and properties of affect.
Tire filling systems
Nitrogen Cylinder is used to fill 
racing car and aircraft tyres, 
eliminating normal air moisture and 
oxygen difficulties. 
 Nitrogen is less able to pass into tire 
rubber than oxygen, that implies the 
long-term durability of the tire 
pressures. That implies more stable 
inflation during use as tires overheat
