● Normally, LPG Gas Cylinders holds huge potential 
energy, improper handling of LPG Cylinder may 
lead to disaster. People who are having LPG 
Cylinder should be aware of the safety storage.

● Keep the full LPG Cylinder separated from Empty 
Cylinder. If all cylinders are kept in the same place 
it may cause safety-related problems.
● Store the cylinder in a well-ventilated place. Avoid 
Keeping the hot and cold materials closer to the 
LPG Cylinder. Choose the area that cannot affect 
the weather and keep the cylinder there.

● Store the cylinders upright and you have to make 
sure that the cylinder is closed properly. Keep the 
cylinder separately so that your kids will not touch 
or play with it.
● Your Cylinder should at least 15 feet away from the 
LPG Gas stove. It helps to avoid your cylinder 
getting heated when cooking.

● It is advised to change the LPG Cylinder regularly. 
Some of us can refill the cylinder and use it for 
many years. Never store a filled Cylinder for a long 
time. 
● You should inspect your LPG Cylinder bi-weekly. 
While inspecting you can easily identify the leaks 
and avoid the problems in the future.

● Don’t store cylinder on the second floor or third 
floor. Try to store it on a ground floor. Don’t keep 
the cylinders flat when transporting it. 
● Don’t allow smoking materials like matchbox and 
oils near the cylinders.

● Don’t forget to turn off the Cylinder when you 
leave home. You can check it twice to ensure gas 
safety. 
● Never neglect statutory rules provided by the
