We created this category to honour the unique pathways that every rug takes to become what you see, from selecting raw fibres to weaving, to the finishing touches done by hand. It can be hand-knotted, the most complex type of working, hand-tufted, an alternative method, or optionally hand-woven, another skilled method of making rugs that is differentiated by adding stress relief.
