Mary Verrandeaux owned and operated an ad 
agency for 21 years. She enjoyed the nature of this 
work and the challenges of being a small business 
owner. Prior to this, Mary Verrandeaux was an elite 
cyclist who qualified for three consecutive 
Olympics.
Operating Her Ad Agency
Mary Verrandeaux won Small Business Person of the Year award in 1997 while 
she was operating her ad agency. She also owned and operated a cycling 
apparel company that aimed to produce clothing that was comfortable for 
women. Mary Verrandeaux plans to focus on creating art.

and Tryon Painters and Sculptors. She enjoys fine 
art and is proud of her affiliation with these 
organizations as it provides a nurturing space in 
which artists can grow.
