From the Tool hub, select Program Problems and then Quick 
Fix my Program. Run the tool and see if the payroll error is

• Download the latest tax tables.
• Open QuickBooks and select Employees from the menu bar.
• Select Get Payroll Updates > Download Entire Updates and

• On the Start menu, type Run to open the run command window.

check-mark it.
• Now, select the Disable All button and clear the Hide all Microsoft Services 
check box.
• Check-mark the Windows Installer check box and press OK.
• Restart the system and uninstall QB Desktop.
• Clean install QuickBooks using the Clean Install tool from the QuickBooks 
Tool hub.
• Go to the Installation Issues tab and select Clean Install.
• Once QuickBooks is reinstalled, open the run command again.
• Type msconfig in the command box and press Enter.
• Select the Normal Startup option from the General tab and press OK.
• Click on Restart from the System Configuration settings.
• Open QB and try downloading the tax table updates again.
