Autumn has moved in with great 
strides. The sun appears less often, it is 
becoming cloudier and rainier, the days are 
getting shorter. The light becomes more 
interesting and presents the streets with the 
tree-lined avenues and gardens in their most 
beautiful colors, especially in the evening 
hours. The first autumn colors on trees 
spread a great atmosphere.
and inspire us to plan the next projects in the 
third season. This poem by Theodor Fontane 
comes to mind: - late autumn - Red is already 
mixing in the leaves with green,mignonette 
and asters withering,the grapes are cut, the 
oats mown, autumn is here, the year is 
getting late.
HÖLKESKAMPRING GREEN CORRIDOR
As part of the urban development 
promotion and after the participation 
of the citizens, the green corridor at the 
Hölkeskampring in Herne will be 
upgraded in terms of design and the 
quality of stay will be improved. The 
focus here is on optimizing the range of 
outdoor and play areas. As a local 
recreation and lounge area in the 
immediate residential area
and as a linear green connection in the form 
of a cycle and footpath axis, the green belt 
acts as a connecting element to the adjacent 
green areas.In the course of the urban 
renewal measure, plantings, furniture and 
path connections will be redesigned.

The redesign of the outdoor area aims in 
particular to create a high quality of use 
and stay for the residents of the new 
residential building. In this regard, a 19 
m² lounge area centrally placed in the 
garden, tenant gardens and a large lawn 
area will be created. The paved areas 
are provided with a large-format 
concrete block pavement in order to 
achieve a spacious and uniform overall 
impression.
Perennial plant beds and shrubs planted around 
the building, as well as existing large trees 
support the high-quality overall impression of 
the residential complex. In principle, care was 
taken to deal with the existing vegetation and 
to integrate it into the redesign as far as 
possible.
