Definition:
The Digital Rupee (e₹) is India’s official digital form of currency
issued by the RBI.
Simple Explanation:
It is just like paper money, but stored digitally.
Example:
If you have ₹200 e₹ in your wallet → it is equal to ₹200 cash.
How CBDC is different from UPI
● UPI → Moves bank money digitally
● CBDC → Is the currency itself
Example:
UPI = transferring money from one bank account to another
CBDC = transferring actual digital currency from wallet to wallet
