 WHAT’S AN ONLINE NOTARY SERVICE ? 
An online video appointment is very similar to an 
in person process, except that you are not 
physically present in front of your notary to have 
the documents signed or sealed but rather have 
your documents authenticated and signed 
remotely online using a video conferencing 
platform, which is typically found on your phone 
(Facetime , Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) or through 
your computer’s webcam. This process is also 
known as virtual, digital notarization or e-notary 
services. 
As an example, a lawyer or paralegal meets with a client via Zoom video conference, the 
lawyer or paralegal views the client sign a legal document and then simultaneously signs 
the same document from a different physical location.

Meet your notary via videoconference
