Many organizations were certified to the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard. However, it is time to abandon the 18001 and move to ISO 45001:2018 standard be cause OHSAS 18001 certifications are no longer valid after September 2021. The new ISO 45001 standard brings substantial and measurable benefits to those who will use it to improve workplace safety. The standard is designed to be applicable to any organization regardless of its size or type of activities. The standard has a realizable systematic approach to identify and manage requirements and health and safety risks. Ultimately, good health and safety of workers is a good business practice.
