                     Sunroof Installation
The sunroof installation process is relatively straightforward. However, there are a few things you 
need to know about before you begin the installation. The first thing to know is that the sunroof 
needs to be raised from inside the vehicle as opposed to only being able to be lowered from outside 
of it. This means that if you don't have power tools or machinery, you will either have to get them or
hire someone with their own equipment who can do the job for you. Next, remember that 
navigating through your car's sunroof during the installation process will probably require some 
maneuvering and strength...so plan ahead and maybe bring along an extra person.
The sunroof itself will be shipped to you in two or three pieces and will take anywhere from a few 
minutes to an hour to install. The sunroof can be installed either before or after you have had your 
dealer do the hardware installation.
The first step is opening up the trunk of your car and locating the main wiring harness for your car's 
audio system. You will remove a red clip from this end of the wire and then insert it into the sunroof 
control box located at the headliner of your vehicle, just between each rear-window and the 
headliner itself. In most cases, this installation removes the need to tap into the wires in your 
vehicle, which will prevent you from potentially damaging the original wiring.
Next, follow the instructions that came with your sunroof in order to locate and install the sunroof 
motor (the box with electrical wires attached). The motor is attached using a phillips-head 
screwdriver. Once you have installed the motor and have plugged it into an electrical outlet, you are 
ready to attach power to your new sunroof. This is when you will be installing your sunshade and 
closing your car's roof.
The last step is aligning your new sunroof's glass panels. First you will lift the glass into place, then 
remove the vent cover and power up your sunroof to allow for proper alignment of the glass. In 
most cases, this takes about 15 minutes.
