According to a ministry release on Thursday, a number of factors influencing procurement, including output estimates, weather forecasts, and state readiness, were examined. Following discussions, the estimated 300–320 lakh tonnes of wheat will be purchased during the upcoming marketing season of 2024–2025. In the same manner, estimates for rice procurement from paddy for the Rabi Crop of 2023–24 were set between 90 and 100 LMT.
