Gas lift equipment—including mandrels, valves, surface injection systems and control hardware—supports production from declining or low-pressure wells. Over the last ten years, production volumes have grown steadily as operators increasingly favor gas lift for its flexibility, ability to handle sand and solids, and suitability for deviated wells versus mechanical lift options. Major manufacturers have expanded machining and assembly capacity in key regions like North America, the Middle East and Latin America, often colocated with well-service bases. Price trends for gas lift equipment reflect both the commoditization of standard components and the premium on specialized designs. Basic side-pocket mandrels and simple valves are relatively competitive, with multiple suppliers driving moderate pricing. However, high-reliability valves for deep wells, HPHT conditions or subsea applications carry a substantial price premium. Steel and alloy price spikes in 2021–2022 pushed equipment prices higher, with estimated increases in the low-double-digit range for many catalog items.
