Pipeline integrity monitoring systems encompass hardware (sensors, communication devices, leak-detection instruments) and software platforms for data integration, analytics and visualization. The global pipeline monitoring system market was estimated at around USD 16.4 billion in 2024 and is projected to more than double by 2033, with a CAGR of about 10% from 2025 onward. Price trends differ between hardware and software. Hardware prices have gradually fallen on a per-unit basis as volumes increased and manufacturing matured, particularly for standard devices such as pressure transmitters or clamp-on sensors. However, more complex technologies—fiber optics, distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) and advanced corrosion monitoring—remain premium-priced, although competition is slowly exerting downward pressure.
