Strontium phosphate (Sr₃(PO₄)₂ and related phases) is a niche specialty phosphate used mainly in ceramics, glass, pigment and pyrotechnic applications, and increasingly in select biomedical formulations where strontium’s bone-modulating properties are valued. Global manufacturing is small relative to mainstream phosphates and typically sits close to strontium feedstock (celestine/strontianite) processing centers and nitric/phosphoric acid availability.
