Back pain doesn’t usually begin as something serious. It starts quietly. A stiffness in the morning. A pull while lifting groceries. A dull ache after sitting all day. You assume it will go away. Sometimes it does. But when it doesn’t—when the pain lingers for weeks… or months… when it keeps coming back despite rest and medications—that’s when it becomes chronic back pain.
