Why ISO 45001:2015 Certification?
ISO 45001 certification , the newly launched trending international standard for the
management of Occupational Health and safety, which also replaces OHSAS 18001. The
organizations needs to define the framework to identify the needs and expectations of
employees and other stakeholders related to Occupational health and safety. It prevents
occupational health and safety incidents and sets out the requirements for what exactly
the organization should do to control the occupational health and safety risks arising from
its normal and abnormal operations in order to improve its health and safety
performance.
The PDCS cycle (“Plan-Do- Check-Act “), applies to this standard. The commitment of the

participation of the employees, the prevention of incident and the compliance with the
legislation are prerequisites and vital for its successful implementation.

Steps to obtain ISO 45001 Certification
• Application review
• Contract review and audit date announcement.
• Stage 1 Audit : Management systems review to ensure the readiness for certification
• Stage 2 Audit: SAB Certifications shall perform on-site audit to verify the established system and
its compliance with Standard and legal requirements.
• Closure of Findings: The organization shall close all the findings derived from the audit process
by sharing the root cause and corrective action report.
• Issuance of Certificate and Certification Mark: SAB Certifications shall issue ISO 45001
certification and certification mark with relevant usage policy.
• Surveillance audits: Surveillance audit shall be performed by the SAB Certification as scheduled.
The audit plan will be shared with client 30 days before the audit due date.
