Cryo-preservation is a process that involves the slow freezing of biological material so that it can be stored for a long period of time. It is used in the field of biology and biotechnology. Cryogenic Preservation is one of the most important tools for preserving cell cultures and embryos. Cryogenic Preservation: A Brief Description of the Methods
INTERESTING THINGS ABOUT CRYOGENIC PRESERVATION ABOUT US The fi rst law of nature is preserved, and cryogenic preservation is ensuring success in the set endeavor. Cryopreservation is the fi rst attempt to safeguard any l iving cells, t issues, organs, or entire bodies are protected from decay by storing them at extremely low temperatures. Cryogenic preservation involves 3 key steps once someone is dead. 1 The body is immediately placed in an ice bath. At the same time, a ventilation mask is used to provide adequate oxygen to the body's organs most importantly to the brain. 2 The body is "vitrifi ed," which means its cells and organs are prepared for the ultra-low temperatures they wil l soon experience. 3 After the body is prepped for the cold, the process of controlled cooling takes place. This is the fi nal step before the long-term storage and includes slowly cooling the body further. 4 The body is kept in a protective insulating bag and in a cooling box where l iquid nitrogen is fed in at a stable rate. Once fully cooled, bodies are stored in Cryostats indefi nitely. CONTACT US (903) 567-1122 [email protected] https://spi-mfg.com/ 19129 State Hwy 64 Canton , Tx. 75103
