Introduction of Block Printing
Block printing is a traditional Indian art form practised for centuries. It is believed to have  
originated in the early days of Buddhism when monks used blocks to print texts on cloth.  
The technique was later adopted by the Mughal Empire and became popular in India during

Block Printing

Steps involved in the process:
 The first step in block printing is cutting wood into a rectangular shape used as a  
printing plate. It can be done with a saw or using an electric carving knife.
 The next step is to carve out all the letters and images printed on this plate. It can be  
done with an X-Acto knife or using gouges and chisels.
 Once all of these details have been carved out, it's time to ink up this plate with ink  
to be used for printing purposes.
Screen Printing
Screen printing is a process of printing from a stencil. It is the most common form of screen  
printing and can be used on many different types of surfaces.
Steps involved in the process:
 The process starts with a design created in a computer program, such as Adobe  
Photoshop or Illustrator. The design is then printed onto the surface that will be  
used for the final product.
 The printer then places the stencil on top of the surface and squeezes ink onto the  
surface below.
 The ink is then left to dry.
Printing the design onto the surface usually involves using a squeegee and applying ink. Ink  
is pushed out of nozzles in the squeegee at a high pressure to allow droplets of liquid to  
spread over large areas of the stencil. The result is an even coat of ink over the entire  
screen, with small gaps where droplets did not cover an area covered by other drops. Some  
screens may also use a roller that applies less pressure.
