● High-strength concrete is, as the name suggests, far better 
than ordinary concrete.
● It essentially contains low shrinkage, low permeability, high 
modulus of elasticity and is better than conventional 
concrete. 
● High-strength concrete is ideally recognized as concrete 
with a 28-day cylinder compressive strength that’s greater 
than 6000 psi or 42 Mpa.
● OPC 53 grade cement is used for producing the best kind of 
high-performance concrete. 
● Simply put, concrete with a compressive strength greater 
than normal concrete is considered high-strength concrete.
