• Born in Seetharamapuram of Machilipatnam, a city in 
Andhra Pradesh, in 1992.
• Srikanth Bolla was visually impaired from birth.
• After completing his primary schooling, he wanted to 
pursue science in his 12, but was not permitted to take up 
the stream, and so, the boy had to file a case.
• Following a wait of six-month, he was allowed to pursue 
science at his own risk, and then Srikanth Bolla topped his 
class with a 98% on his XII board exams.
• The lad was denied from taking admission to the Indian 
Institute of Technology. 
• Later, he became the first international blind student by 
attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
• He was given corporate opportunities in America, but he 
was looking for some innovative idea in India.
• Later, the boy began dreaming to help people like him 
who live in his motherland. 
• Srikanth Bolla co-founded Samanvai Center for Children 
with Multiple Disabilities in 2011 where he started 
a  printing press to provide educational, vocational, 
financial and rehabilitation. 
•  Subsequently, the intellectual returned to India with a 
vision for his venture and founded Bollant Industries.
• The company employs to differently-abled people.
• The firm is known manufacturing eco-friendly and 
compostable packaging.
• His company operates primarily in three different Indian 
states, namely, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and 
Telangana, and employs at least 450 people.
• Srikanth Bolla was named among the list of 30 under 30  
across all of Asia by Forbes in April 2017 and  he became 
one of the famous entrepreneurs in india.
• Emerging Winner in SME at Pride of Telangana Awards in 
2018.
• He became the winner of the Business Line Young Change 
Maker Award 2018.
• In 2019, he won Nava Nakshatra Sanmanam Award from 
TV9.
• The youngster was listed as Entrepreneur of the Year by 
One Young World in 2019.
