Former Associate Dean of Students at Bard College

Currently, Timand Bates serves as Program Manager for the Open Society University 
Network (OSUN), where he is responsible for overseeing an $850,000 grant dedicated 
to the delivery of online liberal arts courses to a global student population. 
In this role, Timand Bates manages program strategy, faculty coordination, and 
institutional partnerships, contributing to substantial growth in student enrollment 
and increased faculty participation across participating institutions. 
His leadership has been instrumental in expanding access to high-quality liberal arts 
education through innovative digital platforms.
Previously, Timand Bates held senior student affairs roles at Bard College, serving as 
both Associate Dean of Students and Assistant Dean of Students. 
In these capacities, Timand Bates played a pivotal role in student support services, 
diversity and inclusion initiatives, and campus community development. His work 
helped strengthen institutional policies aimed at student well-being, equity, and 
academic success.
